IF
A custody/accounting event supplies origin, acquisition record, account scope and required profile evidence.

HOW
Preserve balances, custody lineage and reconciliation history; assess financial implications only within Mermaid's own boundary without redefining measurement mathematics.

THEN
Return a scoped account or reconciliation record with disputes visible. It does not execute a transfer or issue a product permit.

FAILURE AND MISSINGNESS
