The September 25 checkpoint records /restaurants and /nearby discovery. Ranking uses unrounded straight-line distance, with optional name search. No real restaurant coordinates were guessed or enabled.

LIFECYCLE AND ADMISSION
Entry: A restaurant has owner-confirmed coordinates and an enabled listing; a customer chooses location-based discovery. Process: Request browser location explicitly, filter the admitted listings, and rank by straight-line distance before formatting the displayed value. Exit: Show matching restaurants with links into their existing menus.

EVIDENCE AND EXCEPTIONS
HOLD: Location permission, coordinates, or required listing information is unavailable. DENY: An unauthorized actor attempts to change a restaurant listing. Preserve the acting identity, applicable scope, version, operation identity, and the actual result separately from later outcomes.

ILLUSTRATIVE CASE
Two displayed distances may round to the same number while their unrounded values still determine the order.

ACCEPTANCE REVIEW
Use synthetic coordinates for ties, missing location, disabled listings, and name filters; do not infer driving time from distance.
