PURPOSE AND PLACEMENT
Share relevant delivery progress only while an admitted foreground location session and assignment remain valid.

DATED STATUS
The inherited location paper describes foreground-only sharing. It does not establish background tracking, promised ETA, offline replay, or physical iOS/Android field validation.

LIFECYCLE AND ADMISSION
Entry: An assigned active driver consents to a current location session in an explicitly real or simulated mode. Process: Bind coordinates to session, sequence, accuracy, and acquisition time; recheck assignment, consent, and freshness before displaying them. Exit: Expose only the customer's active delivery leg and stop sharing when the session becomes invalid.

EVIDENCE AND EXCEPTIONS
HOLD: Location is stale, missing, insufficiently accurate, or from an incompatible mode. DENY: A viewer requests another customer's leg or a revoked session. Preserve the acting identity, applicable scope, version, operation identity, and the actual result separately from later outcomes.

ILLUSTRATIVE CASE
A last-known position loses freshness: show unavailable or stale status rather than presenting continued movement.

ACCEPTANCE REVIEW
Simulate expiry, revoked consent, reordered updates, ended assignments, and real/simulated separation; document physical-device tests separately.
